Version 2.5.8 (October 09, 2000)

• added Hungarian and Norwegian languages support;
• redesigned a language finding/switching mechanism;
• bug fixed: unable to set black color in the Appearance tab;
• from this version you can use file NWNet.cfg instead of NWNetwork.cfg (for MS-DOS 8.3 filename compatibility).

Version 2.5.7 (September 06, 2000)

• added French language support;
• added possibility to send messages from the command line (see detail in the file ReadMeHot.txt);
• bug fixed: incorrect change of languages in the previous version;

Version 2.5.5 (June 20, 2000)

• added HotKeys (you can see full list of hot keys in file ReadMeHot.txt);
• added new config file - NWiplist.cfg. In this file you can input IP addresses for connect directly. (See the sample into foradminonly.zip);
• into file NWnetwork.cfg added new parameter - Only_listed. If it set to TRUE - connecting requests will send to hosts, listed into file NWiplists.cfg only.;
• added swedish language support;
• redesigned the update utility. Now all of information about updating output to the screen;
• into 'new message'/'received message' forms added button 'Get info about user';
• you are not need the file LangEng.dll anymore - English resources already included into NetWriter.exe;
• bug fixed: crash NetWriter when it try to send read notify.

Version 2.5.4 (June 8, 2000)

• Add common chat;
• Possibility saving received messages as plain text (into log-file);
• When path for finding configurations files not defined - NetWriter will find these files in the same directory where it started;
• Fixed some bugs when you set use_mailslots to FALSE into config file.

Version 2.5.3 (May 27, 2000)

• Automatically minimize to the system tray when you working with others tasks more then a specified time;
• Administrator can control functional capabilities of NetWriter from one place on the net;
• Administrator can make default groups that will automatically load by all users of program;
• From this version, if NetWriter cannot create database  following items of menu will disabled: "Archive of messages"/"Suspended messages"/"Add group"/"Delete group"

Version 2.5.2 (May 19, 2000)

• you can send files to others users of NetWriter;
• NetWriter can automatically set status "I've gone" while a screensaver is running;
• fixed bug with duplicate "All" groups in some cases. Now you can delete such groups.
